The opening theme performers have been revealed for Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens, an upcoming TV anime based on the series of crime novels written by Chiaki Kisaki and illustrated by Hako Ichiiro about a version of Fukuoka where 3% of the population is secretly involved in organized crime.

The opening theme, entitled “Stray”, is performed by KISIDA KYODAN & THE AKEBOSI ROCKETS. The song will be released as a single in Japan on February 07, 2018.

The original Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens novels are published in Japan by ASCII Media Works under their Media Works Bunko imprint. The story of Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens is set in the seemingly peaceful city of Fukuoka, which secretly harbors an intricate criminal underworld where all sorts of illegal activities – such as torture, revenge, and even murder – are for sale.

Against this backdrop, private detective Senji Banba investigates a disturbing urban legend: rumor has it that “a killer of killers”, an assassin who preys on other people who commit murder for hire, has set up shop in Fukuoka. As Banba digs deeper, he uncovers a dark conspiracy that threatens to shake up the underworld.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens is directed by Kenji Yasuda and features animation by Satelight. The series will begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX and other stations beginning in January of 2018.
