A job listing on the CG World website revealed that game developer AQUAPLUS is recruiting staff for new projects in the To Heart and Utawarerumono game series, as well as other games. The company has not officially announced a new title in the To Heart, but its PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita remake of its original Utawarerumono: Chiriyukumono e no Komoriuta game will ship in Japan on April 26.
The listing states that AQUAPLUS is recruiting for 3D CG designer (character modeling), 3D CG designer (character motion), and graphics programmer positions. The listing states that the new staff members will be in charge of 3D modeling for character designs by AQUAPLUS illustrators. The job listings on AQUAPLUS‘ official website do not list any specific game series that the new staff members will work on.
AQUAPLUS released the original To Heart adult visual novel for PC in 1997, and it has since received ports for PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. AQUAPLUS released the To Heart 2 game for PS2 in 2004, and it has received PC, PSP, and PS3 versions. The franchise has inspired spinoff games, as well as manga and anime adaptations.
